How do I commission my pet portrait?

You will of course, want to discuss your pet portrait first but here is what you need to know. To commission your unique pet portrait in oils, e-mail John, attaching a photo the pet you would like the portrait of. If you haven't got a digital picture, you can send the photo in the post, which will be returned with your portrait. You should decide whether your portrait will be a head study or a full body drawing. If you are not sure, we can discuss this.

How long will it take?

I will of course, try to begin painting your portrait as soon as I receive your commission. However you should be aware that you can rush a portrait in oils. Read a little more about this on the prices page. I do try and make anniversary and birthday presents a priority, but do allow plenty of time to avoid disappointment especially at Christmas .

Do I really not have to pay if I don't like it?

Yes it's as simple as that although it has to be said that I have never had anyone not be thrilled with their pet portrait. BUT if you happen to be the first, then yes it's true, you don't pay!
